Do you recognize yourself in this?

You yearn so much to belong that you find yourself belittles, effaces and almost invisible becomes. You put the other person first and immediately say yes, even if your whole body no calls. For fear of conflict you give up on yourself, with the result that you get further and further away from your own identity.

You find it difficult to get your needs make it known, thus making contact with your own limits lose. Instead of relying on yourself, you constantly tune in to others. This is what the structure of the training looks like

The year training Your True Nature is a journey of self-discovery, growth and transformation. This training is designed to support you in realizing your true potential and creating a fulfilling and meaningful life.

During the training you will be introduced to techniques and insights from various disciplines, such as inner child work, family constellations and meditation. Through a combination of live and online meetings, interim assignments and support of the group, you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, discover your true nature and learn how to can stay true to yourself.

Our training is designed to help you make the transition to a life full authenticity and self-esteem. Among the things you will learn:

  • Self-awareness: Discover who you really are, what your values are and what makes you truly happy. You will take an inward journey and get to know yourself on a deeper level. You will discover your strengths, beliefs and how they affect your life. This gives you more insight into yourself and makes you more confident in making choices.
  • Setting boundaries: Learn to set healthy boundaries and communicate assertively, without guilt. You'll learn to say "no" when necessary and make sure your own needs and welfare have priority. You protect yourself from energy guzzlers and create space for self-care.
  • Self-love and self-care: Develop a loving relationship with yourself and learn to take good care of yourself. You learn to put yourself first and privilege your well-being without being selfish. By staying true to yourself, you strengthen your self-confidence and self-esteem, making you no longer dependent on the approval of others.
  • Self-acceptance: Embrace your unique self and let go of the need for approval from others. You learn to fully accept yourself, including your faults and imperfections. When you live in accordance with your own values, you experience deeper inner fulfillment and feel balancedhappy and fulfilled.
  • Assertive communication: In a respectful manner, learn your needs and boundaries clearly. You develop skills to communicate your point of view clearly and confidently, without compromising your own values.
  • Authentic relationships: By staying true to yourself, you attract people who accept and appreciate you as you are. You build healthyauthentic relationships up, in which you can be yourself without hiding or adjusting yourself.

Training content

Before you participate in the training, a intake interview of 30 minutes takes place. During this meeting, we will discuss together whether the training is a good fit for you and whether our method of operation matches your needs.

On the first day, we get to know each other and create a safe environment In which you feel comfortable. From a loving and inquisitive attitude together we are going to make your pleaser identity exploring. We work with resources and your healthy part, while also paying attention to increasing your body awareness and practicing meditation.

Online Series: Polyvagal theory in action
Why the Polyvagal Theory? Pleasing, perfectionism and adjusting are often not conscious choices, but automatic survival responses of your nervous system to stress and insecurity. Polyvagal theory helps you understand how these patterns arise and how to break them.

Introduction: discovering the language of your nervous system

  • Focus: Understanding the vagus nerve and the basis of polyvagal theory.
  • Content:
    • What is the vagus nerve? (Explanation of the sympathetic, parasympathetic and dorsal responses).
    • How do these systems influence behavior, emotions, and survival strategies such as pleasing?
    • Reflection exercise: Recognize patterns in your daily life.

The pleaser identity originated in your early years of life. Which shopping and projections have you received from your parents? During this day we deepen your body awareness and learn better how to can stay with yourself. We examine the inner critic, discover its function and continue to work with your resources.

The Nervous States Map: Where am I?

  • Focus: Recognizing and regulating your nervous system.
  • Content:
    • Explanation of different states:
      • Safety (ventral vagal state).
      • Alarm (sympathetic state: fight/flight).
      • Shutdown (dorsal vagal state: freeze).
    • How does it feel to be in a certain state?
    • Exercise: Map out your own "map. Where do you often sit, and how does that feel?
With the help of setups you gain insight into the place you held within your family, which almost automatically leads you to understand your pleaser identity developed. During breathing sessions show your body a new way: the way of self-expression and creating space for yourself.

Regulation: Your toolbox of resources and glimmers

  • Focus: Strengthen self-regulation and co-regulation.
  • Content:
    • What are resources (internal and external)?
    • How can you find and enhance "glimmers" (small moments of pleasure, peace or connection)?
    • Exercise: Create a personal toolbox of your regulation activities.
You now have more contact with your body, your borders and you needs. The focus of this day will be on how to identify these boundaries and needs. in relation to others can express. In addition, we explore the dynamics of codependency and antidependency.

The nervous system and safety: signaling and shifting

  • Focus: Awareness of triggers and signals of safety.
  • Content:
    • How does your nervous system interpret the world (neuroception)?

    • Exercise: Reflect on a recent experience in which you felt unsafe or safe. What made the difference?

During these two days together we will dive deep into the inner world of pleasers. What happens when you let go of this identity? And how does that affect your contact with others? You're going to experiment and play, while the other participants you mirror in your process. We work with breathing exercises, guided meditations, bodyworksculpting and more to further deepen your awareness and expression.

The magic of resilience: the vagal brake

  • Focus: Building resilience by working with the vagal brake.
  • Content:
    • What is resilience in your nervous system?
    • The importance of flexibility between states (commuting).
    • Exercise: Work with a "safe reminder" to quickly return to connection.

As you get more and more in touch with your true nature, can debt and shame surface. These feelings try to pull you back into your old, familiar comfort zone. On this day, we explore how to create a healthy relationship can develop with these emotions so that they no longer hold you back.

Playing with states: freedom within yourself

  • Focus: Learning to switch freely between states.
  • Content:
    • How can you playfully connect with different nervous states?
    • Why flexibility (rather than being "stuck") is so important.
    • Exercise: Try to make small transitions between states with humor and experimentation.
This day is dedicated to creativity and practical skills. We conclude the training with a meaningful ritual and focus on how to make your true nature even stronger into the world. Together we will explore what you need to do that.

I am Gerda van den Top. I have been supporting people and teams since 1999, first as a trainer and coach in business and since 2007 as a body-oriented therapist. In addition, I am also a learning therapist. I enjoy working at the intersection of personal and organizational issues.

Ever since I was twelve years old, I suffered a lot of headaches. I joked that I was the reverse of Kortjakje: while others played, I sat in bed sick on Sundays.

In 1998, my deeper quest began at the Aumm Institute. There I learned to really feel what is inside me, to express my experience instead of suppressing it, to celebrate life and say openly what is. I took the four-year course there and immersed myself in co-dependency and trauma work. I have also worked with family, organizational and trauma constellations at Phoenix and Interakt. And I continue to develop further with in-depth modules, including at the Aumm Institute.

Hi, I am Utsav (Tuur) Van Hove. I live with my husband in Racour, a small village in Belgium. In 2005, a turning point began for me. After a relationship in which I made myself smaller and smaller, I came in contact with the Aumm Institute. That started a profound process in which I began to discover who I really am.

As the first certified Primal Rebirth therapist in Belgium, I continue to develop myself. Every year I attend new workshops and trainings to keep my own consciousness sharp and to deepen my work.
