The Silent Center

The quiet center is the place where I’ve been wanting to spend more and more time lately. The place of meditation and mindfulness. That loving, neutral, and nonjudgmental place where there is only Being, where nothing is required or expected. It’s also the place of not knowing. This field of consciousness where the mind becomes a “no-mind” and things unfold. Where the invisible becomes visible and the mind cannot possibly grasp it. Mind-blowing. Blowing your mind.

The place of pure love, pure consciousness. The place of letting go and surrender. Of being with what is. The still center as a source of renewal amid the chaos that is the world today. The path inward, toward being true to yourself even when it has major consequences. Old wounds being torn open again. Wounds of exclusion, segregation, being different, discrimination. Do I really belong if I’m truly myself? Am I still welcome if I stand up for my ideals?

Who am I? How do I keep my heart open in a society that sows fear and polarization? Can I just be myself and make decisions about my own life and body? Or are decisions made for me, and am I politely asked to conform and simply do what others think is best for me? How do I reconcile my personal conscience with the social conscience and the collective conscience? How do I do what’s right for myself while also doing what’s right for others? How do I reconcile my individual identity with the group conscience and the collective field?

These and so many more questions may reveal themselves in the Silent Center. Let them resonate in the open space of love and compassion—without ready-made answers, but from a place of connection, togetherness, and respect for each person’s uniqueness and individuality. Everyone is special and has the right to belong. Let’s connect instead of dividing. Let’s show respect for one another instead of judging or condemning. Let’s reach out to one another and help each other.

What difference does it really make whether you’ve been vaccinated or not? What does it matter where you’re from, what your (physical or mental) abilities are, what your skin color, gender, or sexual orientation is, what religion you follow, or what your political views are? I want a world where love, mutual respect, connection, and openness come first. A world with respect for one another and each other’s individuality, a connection to Mother Earth, a world where economy and ecology go hand in hand with a life of dignity for everything and everyone on this Earth. Where healing takes place on the individual, societal, collective, and spiritual levels. That is what I believe in—if we all keep our hearts wide open and let love flow. Then the quiet center unfolds, and we go to the core, the essence of what it truly means to be human!

With love, from the heart, and warm regards,
