My 20-Year Journey at Aumm
Twenty years ago, I was at a crossroads in my life. For years, I had put myself last, was stuck in destructive patterns, and no longer knew who I was or what I wanted. Then Barbara (Yasha) showed me the way to the Aumm Institute. An introductory workshop changed everything. This is what I need, I felt it right away.
That first step set me on a path I never would have dared to dream of. I began the four-year Primal Rebirth Therapy training program in 2005, with no idea that I would ever become a therapist. My own journey was intense—a path of deep pain and healing. Without the unwavering support of Omkar and Divyam, who guided me, encouraged me, and believed in me, I would never have gotten to where I am today. Also Ramateertha inspired me with his wisdom and meditative demeanor, and the constellations led by Omkar and Rama gave me insights that have changed my life.
🌿 Fast forward to today
It’s been 20 years now, and I’ve had my own practice since 2012. My personal development continues to this day, because personal and spiritual growth never stops. Especially in my relationship with Koen, old patterns sometimes resurface. But instead of running away from them, I now see them as valuable opportunities to live my life and navigate my relationships with even greater awareness.
✨ Shared Growth in Group 11
And there's one more thing I'm deeply grateful for: Group 11. At first, I felt a lot of resistance. I wanted to make myself invisible, felt unsafe in the group, and had the urge to run away. But little by little, we grew closer and became a (a) real, self-chosen family. We shared deeply, healed together, and lifted each other up. For years, we got together every year for a reunion, and I secretly hope we can do that again this year.
🔥 From Participant to Trainer and Supervisor
Today, I am not only privileged to be part of the Aumm Buddhist Community, but also to serve as a trainer and supervisor. With deep gratitude to Vasna and Jan, who took over the Aumm Institute and gave me the opportunity to take this step. In the Family Constellations Training and the second year of the basic training program Now I can pass on my knowledge and experience. What a beautiful full circle this is.
